The MP2UV features two speakers outputting powerful high frequency ultrasonic sound to cause the target creatures maximum discomfort and irritation encouraging them to move out of the area.

In addition, ultraviolet LEDs flash sequentially at random intervals giving the impression of movement. Many bird species have sensitivity to ultraviolet light and the LEDs exploit this, creating a visual deterrent effect.

The MP2UV is effective up to approximately 15m (50ft) from the speakers and a daylight sensor can be used to control the output. The settings can be customised to allow the device to work:

• during the hours of daylight
• during the hours of darkness
• continually

If using a battery to power the repeller, then use a 12V car or leisure type, either will work but leisure batteries are more suited to this kind of use, and whilst any size of battery will work, consider using a 50ah or greater capacity, this is particularly important if using a solar charger.

High frequency sound should be used in open space to be effective, any obstacles between the speaker and target creature will block the effect.
